Everything really took off in June. When I first plant something, I check on it everyday, like a kid who can’t wait for Christmas. Then after a couple weeks, I forget about it and when I take a good look, I’m left awestruck. Whoa!
The sunflower hasn’t only grown about a food, the head is forming. Our neighbor a couple houses down, has a tiny little kid and she likes to come by and check on the sunflower progress. Sunflowers are my favorite and I can’t wait until I have one that’s bigger than me.
The morning glories are on fire. One of the plants got a hold of a pipe and really took off. I found a sign stand in the backyard that I’m using as a makeshift trellis to give the other plant something to grab on to.
In the backyard, tell me why I carefully sowed some seeds in a big dirt patch and covered them with fertile soil, and nothing is happening. Yet, on the other shadier side of the yard where the mulch is, grass is sprouting up everywhere. Go figure.
